Project Engineer

Provectus Recruitment have partnered with a high-tech manufacturing business near Cambridge, that are leading the development and manufacture of specialist sensor-based instrumentation used for measurement of matter. This company work in a rapidly growing market, with a customer base that is spread across the world.

Due to business acquisition and continued growth, we are seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design, development & handover of complex electromechanical sensor-based equipment & instrumentation.

This role is entirely on-site at one location.

Key Duties

  • Work closely with sales and product specialists to design, develop & introduce specialist process instrumentation systems to manufacture.
  • Plan design activity, quotations, drawings, BoM’s, ensuring aligned with specifications and project plans
  • Contract reviews, ensuring quotes are accurate & costing information is available for Manufacturing teams
  • Work closely with customers, managing expectations on each stage through to completion
  • Produce technical documentation such as certifications, drawings, operating procedures etc

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking candidates that have several years project engineering experience, overseeing technical, complex electromechanical systems from concept through to manufacture.

  • A good knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector and/or electrical/instrumentation within the Oil & Gas sector would be beneficial NOT essential
  • Several years overseeing the design & development of electromechanical systems or machinery
  • 2D/3D CAD package experience
  • Experience with BoM’s, technical documentation, engineering drawings, costing etc
  • Experience and/or exposure to Instruments and control systems
  • Solid understanding of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering principles
