Manufacturing Manager

Provectus Recruitment have partnered with a high-tech manufacturing business near Cambridge, that are leading the development and manufacture of specialist sensor-based instrumentation used for measurement of matter. This company work in a rapidly growing market, with a customer base that is spread across the world.

Due to business acquisition and continued growth, we are seeking a Manufacturing Manager, that will be responsible for leading the entire Manufacturing/Production function.

Key Duties

  • Working with Planning and Purchasing to driver overall delivery performance and margin improvement
  • Management of various departments, such as systems, cleanroom, dispatch, stores, assembly etc
  • Work with Production Engineering & Development teams to solve discovered design issues
  • Work closely with the service department, providing components and sub-assemblies
  • Manage a sensor manufacturing facility
  • Lead, manage and motivate production teams, enabling good engagement
  • Lead monthly reporting, highlighting key topics such as performance indicators, quality, projects, health, and safety, orderbook information etc
  • Management of training matrix, identifying skill gaps, and allocating necessary modules to employees
  • Work closely with HR on employee issues where needed, e.g., appraisals, disciplinaries etc
  • Manage recruitment process, interviewing and hiring according to skills gap and business needed
  • Generally, oversee all production efficiency, schedules, budgets, general production management duties
