Project Co-ordinator

 

Provectus Recruitment are currently partnered with a leading Smart-phone specific technology manufacturing business in the heart of Cambridge. Utilising cutting-edge materials and manufacturing processes, they have developed complex smartphone electronic hardware applications that are used in the majority of known branded phones today.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Co-ordinator, you will be tasked with supporting the Programme Management team, regarding planning & design of project scope, progress monitoring and general administrative duties around Project Management & Co-ordination.

This role will focus on co-ordinating and setting up & managing INTERNAL company projects. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planning and design of project scopes, whilst adhering to the Product lifecycle framework
  • Oversee and rectify and issues that arise throughout project lifecycle
  • Highlight and manage project risks
  • Monitor resources & skills available for projects and align with Project Plan
  • Assist programme management and engineering teams to achieve targets; quality, schedule, costs etc
  • Communication with stakeholders and co-ordinating technical teams in line with set goals
  • Reporting and updating management on internal project status

The Ideal Candidate

This role is a great opportunity for candidates to broaden their existing Project Management knowledge or take a step up into more of a Project Management focused role, within a high-tech, dynamic, and fast-paced business.

This role would suit candidates that have a good project coordination or project management background, with an excellent understanding of Project Management fundamentals.

A Degree in Management or a technical discipline would be beneficial and preferred (Not essential with years of experience), along with a good understanding of engineering fundamentals such as Mechanical, Electronic, Software Engineering etc.

  • 2 or so years delivering or co-ordinating projects in a technical/engineering environment
  • Experience of communicating, showing initiative, making decisions, and presenting confidently
  • Ability to prioritise activities, balancing long and short-term objectives and finding efficient ways to solve problems.
  • Good customer facing skills
  • Good understanding of project, risk management and customer management
